Mermaid and Seal Pup

Yesterday when I did my craft shopping trip I found this very unusual product.  It was sold on a roll like ribbon.  I have no idea what it is, but as soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do with it.  I thought it would be perfect for a mermaid card.  This image is by Morgan Fitzsimmons.  I was on her Design Team once upon a time.  I have had this image since then.  I really like the way the mermaid came out, but I am not happy with the seal pup.  The coloring just seems off to me.  Oh well.  I colored this image using my Prismacolor pencils.  I can't believe I didn't use them or so many years.  I am learning to use them pretty quickly.  I would have liked to do a background on this, but that's something I haven't learned yet.  It's on the list!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Morgan's Art World - Anything Goes
Colour Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes Coloring
Crafting with an Attitude - Anything Goes
Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Fab 'n Funky - Fantasy

  8. I love your mermaid Diane! The seal is very well done for the fact that you have not used your pencils for many years. Great texture that "whatever it is on the roll" provides in the background lol
