Well my blog is officially messed up this morning.  A photobucket strip appeared across the page.  I tried to fix it and made it worse.  Now I lost my strip that links to my pages.  I'm not touching it again until I can find someone who knows how to fix the code! GRRR!

Harvest Elf

This is a Murphy's Law card.  Everything that could go wrong did.  I had ink blobs and smudges.  Worst of all  after I finished coloring her face I moved on to color her shoulders.  Thinking I picked up E00, I didn't.  I picked up Y20.  I immediately realized that her face was skin colored and her body was yellowish.  I took my blender and erased as much yellow as possible then went over it with E00.  It was still a little too yellow.  I decided to add a small amount of yellow to the face to compensate.  I think it turned out okay. I felt like this was definitely above my ability level, but I am so happy that I completed it.  The image I used was Harvest Elf from Aurora Wings.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

You CRACK Me Up!

This card is my DT entry in QKR Stampede's Anything Goes Friday Challenge.  I used the image Carpenter by QKR.  I had to laugh the first time I saw this image.  Many, many years ago I worked in a school's psychology office.  We had faulty air conditioning that barely ever worked.  That is a big problem since we are in the desert.  Anyways, the district electrician was often called to fix our air  conditioning.  He always had his pants hanging down so his crack showed...always!  Our principal at the time, Mrs. Judy Balda, was a stern and feisty older woman.  She came into my office one day while he was working on the air conditioning.  She couldn't miss the obvious.  She told him to get out of her school and not to return until he learned how to hold his pants up.  I laughed when they left my office.  Go Judy!!!

Anyways, I colored this image with Copic markers.  The paper is from October Afternoon.  I bought several sheets of this paper many years ago and I try to use it sparingly since it is no longer available.

New Truck

Today starts a new Festive Friday Challenge at The Outlawz.  The sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo.  I chose the image Gus Tidbit-New Truck.  I have always found this sentiment funny.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

Dragon Helmet

This is another of my challenging images to color.  It is by DigiStampAtelier called Dragon Helmet.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  The card is made of purple and gold glitter papers.  This was another of those images that was  a challenge, but I loved every minute of it.

Hello Sunshine

I completely forgot to finish the post for this card. I remember writing the post, but had to stop to figure out who the paper was from.  I must have forgotten to save it.   I am definitely not focusing lately!  This is for the newest challenge at QKR Stampede.  The scare crow image is by QKR.  I colored the image with Copic markers  I still don't know who the paper is from!

Reindeer with a 'stashe!

Today starts a new challenge at The Holly and the Ivy.  For my DT card I used this image from Dr. Digi. I colored him with Copic markers.  The paper is from Echo Park.  I cut one of the mustaches from the paper and glued it under his nose.   The small tags are from Lilli of the Valley.

Just a Note

The challenge at A Place to Start this month is Stenciling.  I used an art deco stencil from Altenew.  It is stenciled with Tim Holtz distressed inks.  The image is from A Day for Daisies and is colored with Copic markers.  I actually had some difficulty finding an art deco digi once I decided that was what I wanted to do.  Funny how you can see something all the time except for when you need it.  I thought A Day for Daisies had a lot more images.  This was the only one I found.

Peek a Boo

This image has taken over the number one spot for the most difficult image that I have colored!  This image is by DigiStampAtelier on Etsy.  He is fast becoming one of my favorite artists.  I have a few more of his images, but no where near the difficulty of this one and the last one that I did. This is one of those "don't look too close cards."  Ha ha.  I, of course, made mistakes, but found trying to fix them looked worse than just leaving them...so that's what I did!  It is colored with Copic markers and the paper is from Stampin' Up.

Pretty in Pink

Wow, am I ever falling behind right now.  I don't seem to have time to get anything done!  This card was done, but I had it on the wrong date.  I was wondering why I saw other DT members posting their cards...couldn't be me that was wrong, right?  Sorry if I am behind in visiting your blogs.  I will get there!  This card is for the Creations in Pink  challenge.  Our challenge sponsor is Starz Stampz.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  Aren't those die cuts just the most awesome!  Thank you sweet friend!

Magic Card

Today is the start of a new challenge at QKR Stampede.  I used two images from QKR to make this cute birthday card.  I colored the image with copic markers.

Thank You Elephant

Bugaboo is the sponsor of our current challenge at The Outlawz-Festive Friday Challenge.  There are several different themes so come and join us.  Bugaboo supplied this cute elephant digi.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  the paper is from my stash.

Elf King

This is my unusual card of the week.  I found a new website on Etsy and I love her images.  She also did the African Headdress that I colored last week  This image is called Elf King and it is available from DigiStampAtelier on Etsy   There are about ten things I would do differently if I were to color this image again.  I would change the skin tone and the color of the eyebrows ( for the lack of a better word)  I would also change the hair color.  It blends in too well with some of the flowers. It is a learning process after all.    I used more Copic markers on this image than I have ever used on an image before  My desk was so covered when I was done there was barely a spot left to work  I edged the paper with Tattered Rose distressed inks.  Next week I have a girl image that is an underwater scene.  I'm looking forward to coloring that!

Golfin' Grandpa

This is my DT card for QKR Stampede's Friday Anything Goes challenge.  I used an image and sentiment from QKR.  The background paper is from AZ Red Head available on Etsy.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

Birthday Blast!!!

This card was nade using an image from Mo''''s digital Pencil.  I couldn't resist this image.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I had an unintentional mistake on this card.  When I opened one of the markers it put a little dot on the white area of the card near the image.  I was going to try to lighten it, but I decided instead to add dots to the entire white area.  Normally, on most cards this would not work.  I love it on this card.

The Nutcracker

This is for the new challenge at The Holly and the Ivy.  I have been pretty sick this week so I didn't really put too much effort in, I'm afraid to say.  I have had this image in my colored image file.  I do not recall who the artist is.  The background paper was stenciled on Yupo with distressed inks.  That was also done previosly.  Thank goodness I just had to put it together.

Beautiful Woman

This is my DT entry for A Place to Start.  The challenge this month is stenciling.  It is kind of hard to see, but I stenciled the background in pastel distressed inks.  I should have used some darker colors.  I also need to make my images smaller so more of the card shows.  My vision is not good, though, so the larger images are easier for me to color.  I colored this image, African Headwrap, by Atelier a while ago and forgot to save the Copic marker numbers.  I found this artist on Etsy.  She has quite a few very different images, but I found them to be very intriguing.  I did some research on what the scarfs should look like.  Most I saw were very bright colors, only a few were pastels.
I preferred to go with the pastel colors.
