Takin' Baby for a Walk

This week's Festive Friday Challenge at The Outlawz is sponsored by Hetty Clare.  I chose this adorable image, which very much reminds me of Holly Hobbies.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next little darling to join our family will be a little girl.  Grandma has been wanting to make some cute little dresses.

Update:  We will be having Logan Alexander join our family.  Grandson #3.  Okay, kids, somebody get working on another.  Grandma needs to make some dresses.  Maybe I should just start making overalls instead.

Santa Kitty and his Reindeer

I could not photograph this card well to save my life.  With it being a longer card I seemed to get either one side or the other darker.  Whatever.  I give up!  Anyways, this is for the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge.  The sponsor this wee is Knitty Kitty.  I had bought a set of four images.  This uses three of them.  I drew lines with a marker to conncet the sleigh with the reindeer.  The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The paper is from Stampin' Up.

Finally Done!

I finally finished making cards out of the images I colored over the past many years.  Well, that's only half true.  I actually got so tired of the process that I threw a lot away.  I still consider that done.  Now my folder of images is empty.

The above two images are from Mo's digital Pencil.  The rest of the images are from various artists.

Baby and Frog Together

The challenge this week at The Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge is Tic Tac Toe.  The sponsor is Sherry West Art.

I chose to go across the top.  It's hard to tell in the photograph, but the sky is done in blue and pink pastels.  I used purple for the dandelions (a little artistic license) and the bow.  And there are butterflies on the sentiment.  The image is colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.

Snow Leopard (Chemo Angel)

I have decided to become involved with Chemo Angels again.  I was just assigned my new chemo patient.  This time it is a male, which will be something very different.  I do love making male cards, though.  Usually Design Team work doesn't have me making very many male cards so I am looking forward to this opportunity.  If anyone might be interested in becoming a Chemo Angel there is a link to the website on the right of my blog page.

I don't know who drew this image, but it is probably my favorite image to work with.  I could make many of these each year and never get tired of it.  I bought it from a website called Sparkle and Sprinkle which is now closed.  Jan from Jan's Digi Stamps helped me identify the artist of many of the images that I had purchased from that website.  This one, however was before her time working on that site.  Oh well!  I'm sure my card-land friends have seen this many times on my blog.  I only know so many men so I run out of people to give it to.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

Oh, and wonderful news!  My oldest daughter, Sandy and her husband, Zack, are going to have a baby boy in April.  That will be grandson #3 for us.

Skating Santa

The sponsor this week at The Outlawzs Festive Friday Challenge is Hetty Clare.  I used this pre-colored Skating Santa image.  I fussy cut an extra Santa and popped it up on top of the base level.  I also added glitter around the edges of the fur on his outfit.  I was fortunate to find background paper in my stash that went perfectly with the background color of the image.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Craft Rocket - Christmas/Winter

Creative Knockouts - Snow Much Fun

Crafty Chicks - Christmas

Christmas Ornament

This is my first try at this stenciled ornament by Sweet Poppy.  I'm not real happy with this attempt, but I'll be trying it at least a couple more times with different images in the center.  I would also like a larger card format.

Santa an a Reindeer

This image is from Lili of the Valley.  I usually don't color my backgrounds, but I gave coloring the sky a try.  The digital paper is from Carina Gardner.  The image is colored with Copic markers.

Angel and Baby

This card is a remake from October 2014.  My mother was recently put in a nursing home in New Jersey.  She had saved all the cards I had made her over the years.  My mother and I are not close at all.  I was abandoned around the age of one.  I saw her few times prior to becoming an adult.  I went through many foster homes during my early life.  Anyways as an adult I reconnected with her.  Needless to say it has not been easy.  Anyways, she gave my cousin the box of cards and asked him to send them to me.  There is probably between thirty to forty cards.  She then called me and asked me to reuse the cards so that someone else can enjoy them.  At first, I didn't want to do that.  After some thought, I decided to remake the cards using the original fronts that were usable.  I will send them to family members with a small note explaining where the card came from and why.  So this is the first that I had to patch up.  The edges were a little rough so I trimmed them down.  I also cut the front off the card and made a new card base.  The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and I believe it is colored with Copics.  I think I will send this one to her sister.

New Baby Kitty

The Monday Greetings Challenge at The Outlawzs is sponsored ny Knitty Kitty.

The challenge is blue monochrome.  I really don't care for monochrome challenges.  I had to add a few other colors in so that the picture would make sense.  I just realized I forgot to put the sentiment on this card.  I need to get that done.

With Sympathy

I have had this image in a folder of images I started and never completed so now it's done.  I really love it and would like to make more cards using it, but I have to figure out whose image it is.  I have so many files of images on my computer it will probably take a while.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  For some reason this photographed very dark.  My photo program didn't seem to fix it.  Oh well!

Pretty in Teal

I had a good time coloring this image even though two markers ran out of ink during the process.  Fortunately, I had the necessary refills.  I have been trying to work on different hair colors.  I am still avoiding brunette like the plague.  This image is by Connie Fong.  I colored it with Copic markers.  The paper is from my stash.  I have spent so much time coloring lately to help avoid election stress. I think I will make a few Christmas cards next.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge - Anything Goes

Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

Watercooler Wednesday - Feminine

Digi Choosday - Anything Goes

I have been running a little low on male birthday cards so it was time for another animal card.  I just love animal cards!  This image is by Morgan Fitzsimons.  I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils.  The paper is from my stash.  I wish I remembered where I got it.  I absolutely love it.

Poinsettia

This card uses an image from an artist relatively new to me, Gracielle Designs.  I have purchased quite a few, but this is the first one I've used.  I colored this image with Prismacolor pencils.  I have had this Stampin' Up paper forever.  I always felt the print was too large to use on a card.  With it just peeking out from under the image, it is not overwhelming.

Just Because

The Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge is sponsored by Sherry West Art this week.  The challenge is to use blue and two other colors of your choice and add a twist.

I colored the image with Copic markers.  My twist was to add twine.

Male and Female Kittens.

The Progressive Freebie Challenge this month at The Outlawz is sponsored by Paper  Nest Dolls.  This image is provided to any person wishing to sign up.  I chose to color the kittens as a male and female. The image is colored with Copic markers.  I used washi tapes to decorate the card.
