Final Easter Card for 2019

This should be my final Easter card this year.  I had forgotten that I colored the image.  I figured I should finish it up when I happened to come across it.  It's kind of funny.  I don't really care for purple.  All four Easter cards I made are purple.  Maybe, I'm actually a closet purple person.  This image is from Power Poppy.  I colored it with Copic markers.  I used Spellbinder's dies to cut the edge.  Other than adding pearls, that's about it.  Easy card!

This past week I got my Arteza watercolor pens...after the post office misplaced them for a few days.  I was so excited to give them a try.  My first attempt ,actually, my first three attempts were disastrous.  I think I was not meant to be painting.  I'm not giving up, but there is going to be quite a learning cure to get around. It reminded me of a kindergarten student painting!

Peace On Earth

This is my Design Team entry for The Holly and the Ivy Christmas Challenge.  This is an image from Power Poppy.  The first time I colored it I ended up tossing it.  I like the coloring on this one, but am not happy with the holly.  Once it was glued down there was no changing it.  I'll live with it.  I have been wanting to do something with kraft paper.  This just has a touch of it.  I absolutely love the ribbon.  The image was colored with Copic markers.  Glitter was added to the snow.

My husband and I make such a good card making team.  Whenever I am stuck he comes up with the ideas.  I wasn't sure what to put inside this card.  He suggested putting the song lyrics inside.  I hadn't even thought of doing that, but I loved the idea.  Thank you, dearest.

The Boys and their Toys

We got our youngest grandson, Ethan, a Power Wheels Batman quad for his fourth birthday.  We got his brother, Lucas, one a couple of years ago.  Lots of room to ride at grandma and grandpa's.

Easter Cross

I made this card many years ago, but never finished it.  I kept it in my incomplete basket.  At the time I felt like it needed more, but I couldn't figure out what.  I found it when I was reorganizing.  It is amazing just how much your perspective changes over time.  I now love how simple it is.  I decided not to do anything else to the front, not even a sentiment.  I feel like the cross says it all.  I finished the inside to read "It never grows old, this glorious news of Christ's resurrection.  Hope it brings you joy at Easter."

The image is  Draped Cross with Ribbon from Eureka Stamps.  When I went back to find this image I found another cross with ribbon and a wreath of thorns.  That one will be coming up soon.  I did not save my color list, but it was not many.  It is colored with Copics.

Thank You Kitten

Today's image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  What a sweet little kitten!  The image is colored with Copic markers.  I used a die set from Frantic Stampers.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  I wanted to put some type of bling on the center of the ribbon.  This one had a yellow center.  I was able to color it red with my markers.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye.

Here Comes the Easter Bunny

I am not supposed to be working on cards right now.  I had the image of this bunny in my head and couldn't resist.  Seems like addict behavior, but I definitely could be addicted to something worse than card making!

This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored it with Copics.  The flowers are all from my stash.  I finally figured out the bow!  I looked at previous cards from years ago and I loved how I did the bow.  Since I started making cards again I could not for the life of me make a decently shaped bow.  Well, going through my stash while organizing I found Bow Easy.  I had completely forgotten that I owned it.  There shall be no more problems with bows!  The tickets I had gotten as a freebie one time.  Here goes the Copics list.  It's a big one!

Life is Better with Friends

This image, Climbing Clemantis, is from Power Poppy.  It is colored with Copics.  The flourishes did not photograph well.  They are made of a plastic instead of crystal.  The look okay in real life, but not in photographs.  I would not buy them again.    The image is colored with Copics:

Caught One!

This image is from Power Poppy.  I have been wanting to do a masculine card.  Now I'm ready for Father's Day.  The image is colored with Copic markers.  The paper is from Stampin' Up.  I added a little Wink of Stella to the brighter colors of the fish to give it the look of iridescence.

Little Miss Miracle

Today's card uses an image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Goodness.  She is obviously fashioned after Shirley Temple.  I'm planning on making this a belated birthday card when I finish the inside.  She is colored with Copic markers.  The paper is from my stash.  I noticed I have been printing my images a little larger lately.  I need to cut down the size so I can decorate the card more.

I had a Shirley Temple doll just like this one.  The dress was white with red polka dots.  She was one of my favorite dolls.  I moved from foster family to foster family growing up so I don't know where she ended up.  It would have been nice to still have her.

Apparently Franklin Delanor Roosevelt nicknamed her "Little Miss Miracle" for raising the country's morale during the Great Depression.

Pretty Tulips

This image is from Power Poppy.  I have had it for years and this is the first time I got around to coloring it.  My only dilemma was what color to make the tulips.  There are just so many choices.  I went with pink tipped in yellow.  I had tulips just like this in my garden when I lived in New Jersey.  Living in Arizona I don't bother to try to grow too much of anything outside.  If you don't water at least twice a day everything dies.  The only thing I can grow well here seems to be cherry tomatoes.  I can grow them like a weed.

I colored the image with Copic markers.  The paper is from KandK company.  It is actually a glitter paper, but that doesn't show in the photos.  I now have glitter all over my crafting room!  I also used black silk ribbon and pearls.
