Wisteria Fairy

This image is Wisteria by Mitzi Sato-Wiuf.  It is available at Scrapbook Stamp Society.  I absolutely love this artist's images.  The detail is just amazing.  This image is colored with Copics.  I put Stickles to neckline of her dress to add some texture.  The papers are from my stash.

I am a little disappointed with how the flower spray turned out in the photo.  The colors are actually varying shades of lilac, but they appear pink.

For My Husband

This is my Design Team entry for Digi Doodle Shop's Challenge # 92 "Anything Goes."
The digi is called "Mountain Lion"  and is available here
If you look up the digi on the website you will see a previous card I made using this digi.
I must admit it's one of my very favorite to color.
I made this card for my husband's birthday on the 23rd of this month.  I started it after dinner on the 22nd.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute!  Hopefully, it doesn't look like I did it the last minute.  He's actually in the kitchen baking his birthday cake.  He doesn't like my cakes.  That's okay, I don't like making cakes, anyway.  His cakes are really delicious.
I have such a difficult time with sentiments.
I usually cheat and take the sentiments off my Hallmark card program.
I colored this with Copics and the papers are A Proper Gentleman from Graphic 45.  I ran out of my main color as I was using it so I couldn't finish up the blending as well as I would have liked.  Need to order it now.  I use it a lot!  The oval is surrounded by cream pearls on the top half of the card.  Unfortunately, they do not show in the photo.

Copics:  C2, C3
E04, E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E40, E51, E53, E97
R02, R21, YR21

I'm Guest Designer for Belle of the Belli this Week!

I was invited to be a guest designer for Belle of the Belli Challenge this week.  I used an image by Krista Smith available at her Saturated Canary Etsy Shop.  I colored her with Copics and used quite a few different papers from my stash.  The flowers are from Stampin' Up.  I actually made them about two years ago and they have been sitting around.  I hate to throw anything out.  I finally found a use for them.  The tickets are from a stamp and die set I recently got from Whimsy Stamps.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge  Anything Goes

Valentine Kittens

This is my first post for the Scrapbook Stamp Society's Design Team.  This digi is "Valentine Kittens" by Morgan Fitzsimons.and is available here.  I'm entering this in their current challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society's Challenge Blog.. I colored it with Copics and used Stickles for the centers of the flowers.

I decided to go a little out of my comfort zone with this one.  Typically I am not a "pink and frilly"  type of person.  I just started making it and it kind of went in that direction.  I don't like to do a lot of planning.  I like to experiment and see what happens.  Sometimes I love it, sometimes it goes in the circular file. The jury is still out on whether I like how I finished off this one.

Blue & Brown

I made this card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #91, Blue & Brown.  This digi image is from Digi Doodle Shop.  It's called "Sail Away" and you can find it here.    It's colored with Copics, of course.  I used a new paper by October Afternoon.  I have always loved their papers.  I got a small piece of it in a paper pack, so of course I had to go on a search to find lots more.  I bought enough to keep me busy for a while.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Divas by Design  New Beginnings and/or Thanks
Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Brown & Blue
Anything Goes Challenge Blog  Anything Goes

Swirls and Pearls

This is my final card as a design team member for My Time to Craft.  I decided that it was time to step down. I would like to thank Wendy for giving me the opportunity to belong to this wonderful team for the past six months.  The current challenge is "Favorite Embellishment."  I absolutely love using swirls and pearls.  I still needed  one card for the January Christmas Card Challenge at Splitcoast so I decided to make a Christmas card and kill two birds with one stone.

Thinking of You

I made this card for Digi Doodle Shop Challenge #90, Embossing.  I just recently found this really lovely digi image at Digi Doodle Shop.  It's part of a set called "Fancy Frames" and you can find it here.  No matter how many times I visit the store I see something I haven't seen before.  I just love that!  I really enjoyed coloring this one.  It's colored with Copics and I added glitter to the edges of the flowers.  I used my Martha Stewart  Scoring Board to emboss lines around the main image.  It's a really great tool at a very reasonable price.

I just realized after posting that my center image is a little off.  Doesn't it just kill you when you notice something after posting!  I was sitting here wondering why the sentiment looked a little crooked.  Oh well, not taking it apart now.  Aaargh!

This is my DT entry for Digi Doodle Shop's Challenge # 89, New Beginnings.  The image I used was Sleeping Infant. I colored her with Copics and used a Martha Stewart punch.  The flowers are from my stash.

Digi Doodle Shop has some exciting new things going on this month.  They are now offering rewards points with each purchase.  These points can be saved up and used as cash towards future stamp purchases.  They also have quite a few ninety-nine cent digi deals.  I have picked up some of these myself!

XOXO Hugs '& Kisses

This is my quite late DT entry for My Time to Craft's Challenge this week.  The challenge is Hugs & Kisses.  The image is from A Day for Daisies and I colored it with Copics.  I got the ribbon from Taylored Expressions.  I need to order more.  I absolutely love it!

By the way, My Time to Craft is looking for new design team members.  It's a great challenge blog to be on the design team for because you can use any images you wish as long as it fits the theme.

I have some exciting  news to share with friends that are not on Facebook.  My daughter, Katie, and son-in-law, Gabriel, are expecting their first child.  I'm so excited.  I'll be a grandma around the end of August.  Everybody tells me I will absolutely love being a grandma.  I have no doubt!
