Flower Girl

I colored this image about two years ago.  I'm finally starting to do something with my old images.  The image is from A Day for Daisies.  It reminds me of Hollie Hobbies for those of you that are old enough to remember them.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

Christmas Rose

This week's Festive Friday Challenge at The Outlaws is sponsored by Fred She Said.  I chose the digi Christmas Rose.  I colored the image with Arteza pencils.
I have a large metal holder of Arteza products on my desk.  I didn't feel like lugging out the Prismacolors.  I am satisfied with how the Arteza pencils worked  and they sharpened very well.

Happy Birthday Brother

This week's Monday Greetings Challenge at The Outlawz is sponsored by Dr. Digi.  I chose the image, Run Derek, Run to make a birthday card for my brother.  I got such a kick out of some of the sentiment pages they had so I bought a few.  This one is so true.
I colored the image with Copic markers

Workin' on the List

I'm still working on my Christmas cards.  I think I need around ten more, maybe a little less.
For the card I used an image from Jan's Digital Stamp Shop  called Santa's List. It comes in  a regular digi format and also pre-colored.  The pre-colored is gorgeous, but my family has come to expect me to have colored the cards.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I used digital paper from Carina Gardner for the chair and the Background.  I just realzied that I forgot to put the sentiment on the front.  Oh well, I'll put one on, but I won't bother to photograph again.

I had an interesting time trying to paper piece the chair.  I thought I had cut it all out.  I looked at it the next morning and realized I did not put the piece of chair inbetween his legs.  When I was cleaning off my desk the night before I crumbled up all the scraps and threw them away.  I don't know how many people paper piece, but if you ever try to reprint pieces to use it's almost impossible to get them exactly the right size again.  So to the trashcan I went.  I pulled out all my papers and unbelieveably the piece I needed  was the only piece that didn't get crumbled.  Thank you, God!
Oh well, housework is calling my name!

Sandy's Birthday

I made this card for my oldest daughter's birthday.  It's the second one I made.  The first one I was not happy with.  I'm quite unsure about this one also.  It did not pass the husband test.  Oh well, I need one now so here it is.  The image is Bowl of Beauty by Power Poppy.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I really wanted to make the bowl look copper.  I could not figure out a combo of colors to use.  Any recommendations on coloring copper?  I would appreciate suggestions.

Sad Clown

This is an image by Rick St. Denis that I have had for many years.  I finally decided it was time to color him.  Rick St. Denis has many really great clown digis.  I'm not sure if he still sells them.  I was on his Elite Design Team in 2015.  The papers are from Stampin'Up and are circus themed.  The strip across the front was cut from the papers. I colored the image with Copic markers.

Double Birthdays

My son, Tim, and my son-in-law, Gabriel, have birthdays two days apart in July.  Ten years ago I had just started making cards.  I found this Mo's image and since they were both into gaming I made them birthday cards using it.  I was running out of ideas for male cards so I started looking through my photos of completed cards to get some ideas when I ran across the two cards from 2010.  I decided it would be very cool to make them both a card using the same image again.  And yes, they are both still into gaming.  The only real difference in the cards is inside.
One says son and the other, son-in-law.

The images are colored with Copic markers.  The papers are from Stampin' Up.

Below are the cards I made in 2010 about two months after I started card making.  I believe they were done with Prismacolors and Gamsol.  I think I've improved some.  There is definite improvement in photography!  A new camera helped with that.  It's already time for another new camera.  Come on stimulus.  Momma needs a new camera.   My Olympus is too old and can no longer update. Transferring the images to the computer is a bit of a pain.

Almost done with March cards!

I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She is colored with Copics, pencils and pastels.  This is the third time I attempted colori...
