Late

The challenge this week at Cardz 4 Guyz is "Time."  I chose the image "Late" from Mo's digital Pencil.  The clock images are from Vectoria Designs on Etsy.  I absolutely love the little stopwatch I bought from Live and Love Crafts in Great Britain.  I wish American shops would carry items like they do overseas.  This is the first time I have used washi tape.  It is from Tim Holtz.  I was surprised at how easy it was to apply.  The paper is from my stash.  I decided to go monochromatic with this card.  The image is colored with Copic markers.

Copics:  E23, E25, E27, E30, E31, E49, E41, E42, E50, E51, E53, E55, R01, Y28

Boy, am I ever glad this post is done!  Blogger was being a total !#&*?%.  I didn't think I would ever get it done.  Things just wouldn't stay where I put them.  It's not what I wanted, but it's done, finally!

Welcome to the Neighborhood

This is my first Guest Design Team card for Fitztown Challenge Blog.  They are having a DT call now through June 1.   Those accepted get a nine week trial in which they design up to six cards.  After eight weeks a decision is made as to permanent status.  Wish me luck!

The challenge this week is Lots of Layers.  I had a different idea that I was anxious to try.  I printed out four images and was planning to cut them up and apply them in layers.  I was excited about trying it.  Unfortunately, a few of my brown markers were drying out. I knew I'd never have enough ink to finish all the layers.   I decided to go with one layer and lots of cardstock layers.  Maybe next time. The leaf border was cut with the Silhouette.

This adorable image from Fitztown is available here.
I used Copics to color it.  The list of colors was pretty extensive.

Copics:  B14, B23, B41, BV02, C0, CQ, C2, C3, C4,
 E23, E25, E29, E33, E34, E35, E37, G20, G21, G24, G28,

I tested every one of my markers to see which ones were beginning to dry out and ordered about 15 refill bottles.  Dick Blick Art Materials has them for a pretty reasonable price.  The markers are 5.24 and the refills are 6.29.  That's pretty reasonable compared to other places I've priced them and I only paid 2.00 for shipping!

The Sky's the Limit

As soon as I saw this week's challenge at Cardz 4 Guys I knew which image I wanted to use.  I last used it probably about two years ago and I love it!  The challenge this week is "The Sky's the Limit.."

The image is by Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored it with Copic markers and distressed it with Distressed Inks.  The digital papers are from Carte Bella.  The sentiment is from Silhouette Online Studio.

Birthday Numbers

This card is for Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #13 this week, Numbers.  The digital paper is from Echo Park.  No coloring on this one.  I've had a really busy week and will have an even busier one next week.  I had to go with simple!

A Project with My Grandson

This card was so much fun to make with my grandson, Lucas.  He's nineteen months old and loves to color with (and eat) markers!  I think he could color for hours.  He must take after Grandma.  Anyways, I had him finish the inside of the card for his Mommy.

I had a choice of two images and had a hard time deciding which to use.  I decided I would like the other with finger painting so I need to buy some paints.  Look for that one in the future!  The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Isn't he adorable.  It comes in a boy or girl image.  The digital papers are from Echo Park.  I colored the image with Copic.  Lucas colored the inside with Crayola Washable Markers.  There is no way this little guy is getting a hold of my Copics!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Here is a picture of the little artist, himself.  He wasn't actually eating the markers.  He colored on his hands, licked them and wiped them on his face.  What a character!  At least they were non-toxic! We'll have to make this an annual event.  Happy Birthday, Katie!

Cowboys Don't Take Baths

The challenge this week at Cardz 4 Guyz is "Make Us Laugh."  I chose this image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I used it several years ago and really loved it.  I thought it would be ideal for this challenge.

The digital paper is from CartaBella.  I cut the rope border with the Silhouette, although, it doesn't really look anything like rope.  I colored the image with Copics and added lots of distressing so it would look "dirty."
