Rose on Black

This was a trial run coloring on black with Prismacolor pencils.  I don't particularly like the colors I chose.  Next time I will choose some lighter shades.  Colors appear very differently than if coloring on white.  It was an interesting trial.  I learned quite a bit about what works and what doesn't.  I initially stamped the rose in white ink.  I tried to cover the lines as I colored.  The greens on this appear too bright, at least some of them do.  I added a hand dyed silk ribbon from my stash.

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

Simon Says Stamp-Monday - Beautiful Blooms
Creative Craft Cottage - No Patterned Paper
Your Next Stamp - Florals
Simon Says Stamp-Wednesday - No Designer Paper
Crafty Addicts - Anything Goes/In the Pink
