Sunset Birthday and Bird in Nest

I actually made a card that was not for a design team.  I created this card with one of Divinity Design's Blessings Boxes.  It's a box received in the mail quarterly.  It contains all kinds of goodies.  This was my first try at blending a sky.  When I first tried it I hated it.  I left the panel on my craft desk where I could see it for about a month.  I planned on throwing it out.  I finally decided that I didn't absolutely hate it and put it on a card.  I  need lots of practice with blending so expect to see more of this type of card.  I used Distressed Inks for the blending.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Lemon Shortbread - Anything Goes

Another card that has been sitting on my desk is this one.  It's another I didn't really like.  Actually I have not grown to like this one, but it was all done except the inside so I decided to complete it.

The images are from Beccy's Place.  I colored them with Copic Markers. They also come pre-colored.   I then fussy cut the images and attached them to a printed vellum.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Digi Choosday - Anything Goes
CD Sunday Plus - Anything Goes CD/USB or Digital

  5. Diane, your ink blending is beautiful. I love the strong colors you chose and it sets the silhouette off beautifully. I love it.

  6. Awesome job with the sky so atmospheric with the silhouettes of the cowboys.
I think the little bird is so sweet in the nest, as always I'm in awe of your copic colouring :)

  8. Diane, I love both your cards. The one with the bird is so cute (I love bird cards-I think they are in my top five category....along with mermaids, turtles, silhouettes, and mice). I'm probably just going to say I have a lot of favorite categories for cardmaking! And your sunset is super beautiful, especially with the dark silhouette image in front! Just gorgeous!
