The sponsor for this week's challenge at The Outlawz, Colour Challenge is Eureka. The challenge was to use three of five colors given. I used all five. They are in the stained glass. There is also a twist which is to make it a get well card. This is my last DT card for quite a while. I didn't think I would get all the June cards done, but I managed.
Stained Glass Get Well Card
Lazy Day
This card is for The Festive Friday Challenge at The Outlawz. This challenge is sponsored by Hetty Clare, I colored the image with Copic markers.
Pink and Gray
This card is for The Monday Sentiments Challenge at The Outlawz. The sponsor is KLM and the challenge is to use pink and gray. I colored this image with Copic markers.
Girly Birthday
This card is for the Festive Friday Challenge at The Outlawz. It is quite a bit late. I am not handling my card making very well. I am trying to get my all my June commitments completed today and then I am done with design work for a while. Between, my health issues and loss of mojo I decided to leave all design teams. I will now just make cards that speak to me somehow.
This image is by Hetty Claire. It is colored with Polychromas pencils..
Emily with Roses
This image is from NinoKurtsART on Etsy. She is colored with Copics and a variety of pencils. I want to practice making a background on this with pastels. I think I will photocopy it so I don't mess up the original. I intentionally ma=de her skin pale. I usually have quite a bit of color in the skin, but I wanted to try something different. So Tom's opinion is that she looks dead. Some people are very pale, it happens. Part of it is that I colored it very light plus the photography was not done well, my fault. I asked Tom what I should name this image. He picked Emily, and so it is.
I will update the photos if I ever get the background done. I am seriously delinquent in my Design Team duties. I am not handling life well at all right now.
Up, Up and Away
Our Monday Sentiment challenge at The Outlawz is being sponsored by Jan's Digi Stamp. I chose this cute, pre-colored image. It's hard to tell because the lighting was not right, but the background is done in chalked clouds.
Girl with Hummingbird (or narwhal, depending on opinion)
This is another image by Emanuelle Colin. I am trying to slowly work my way through the five coloring books I bought. This image was colored with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils. That seems to be the combo I use the most. I really love the colors available with Prismacolor, but they just cannot hold a point well. When I do manage to get them sharp enough they break within the first few seconds of using them. I am still having difficulty photographing. I told my husband he needs to take over the photography job. I just need to teach him what I want. I always ask him to critique my art. I know he will tell me the truth no matter what. On this picture he said he has never seen a bird that color before. I told him it was artistic license. Other than that he liked it. I had to laugh. My first thought when I saw the bird was that it looked like a narwhal. Apparently, I was not the only one. My eight year old grandson asked me why she had a narwhal in her hair! Great minds think alike.
