Double Birthdays

My son, Tim, and my son-in-law, Gabriel, have birthdays two days apart in July.  Ten years ago I had just started making cards.  I found this Mo's image and since they were both into gaming I made them birthday cards using it.  I was running out of ideas for male cards so I started looking through my photos of completed cards to get some ideas when I ran across the two cards from 2010.  I decided it would be very cool to make them both a card using the same image again.  And yes, they are both still into gaming.  The only real difference in the cards is inside.
One says son and the other, son-in-law.

The images are colored with Copic markers.  The papers are from Stampin' Up.

Copics: B000, 00, 12, 24, 91, 93, 95, 97, BV01, C00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
E00, 01, 02, 11, 13, 15, 21, 23, 31, 33, 34, 35, 40, 43, R2, 12, 24, 27, 37,
Y02, 08, 11, 17, 18, YR15, 16, 18

I am entering this card in the following challenge:

Craft Rocket Challenge - for Men/Boys
Color Crazy Craft Challenge - Anything Coloring Goes
Crafty Girls' Corner - You're the Man
Morgan's Art World - Anything Goes

Below are the cards I made in 2010 about two months after I started card making.  I believe they were done with Prismacolors and Gamsol.  I think I've improved some.  There is definite improvement in photography!  A new camera helped with that.  It's already time for another new camera.  Come on stimulus.  Momma needs a new camera.   My Olympus is too old and can no longer update. Transferring the images to the computer is a bit of a pain.

  1. Hi Diane! Happy 4th! I've had a catch up of all your wonderful cards. I agree it's so hard to track down which Bestie, wish she had named them and not numbered so many. The ADU images are nice. I guess I need to get a few more. Was supposed to have won a few but they never followed through. Life's too short to hold that against them haha. I love love love your old and new gaming cards! How nice they share the same hobby. I have 4 nephews who are brothers and not one of them shares any interests. And oh yes the camera problem. I have an iphone with a good camera and still hook it up to my desktop to transfer the pics, lol. Hope you have a great weekend, stay well and safe! XOX

  3. I've had the opportunity to re-use an image from a much older card too, and it's a lot of fun! Your original cards are really gorgeous though - I was a bit embarrassed about how my old one looked! I love all 4 of yours! Thanks for sharing these with us at Morgan's Artworld
