Beautiful Woman

This is my DT entry for A Place to Start.  The challenge this month is stenciling.  It is kind of hard to see, but I stenciled the background in pastel distressed inks.  I should have used some darker colors.  I also need to make my images smaller so more of the card shows.  My vision is not good, though, so the larger images are easier for me to color.  I colored this image, African Headwrap, by Atelier a while ago and forgot to save the Copic marker numbers.  I found this artist on Etsy.  She has quite a few very different images, but I found them to be very intriguing.  I did some research on what the scarfs should look like.  Most I saw were very bright colors, only a few were pastels.
I preferred to go with the pastel colors.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Ll'l Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything Goes
Stamping Sensations - Show Your True Colors
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything Goes
Classic Design Team Challenge - Anything Goes
World Wide Open Design Team Challenge - Anything Goes
Morgan's Art World - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap - No Rulz!

  1. Lovely card! I also tend to make my focal images larger. I feel like if I have colored it, it needs to be very visible lol

  4. Diane, I just keep staring at this beautiful card! It's gorgeous. Your coloring is perfect and I love how you colored the scarves! The thin gold ribbon adds a great touch! I also try to make my images as big as I can as it is easier to stay in the lines.
