A Project with My Grandson

This card was so much fun to make with my grandson, Lucas.  He's nineteen months old and loves to color with (and eat) markers!  I think he could color for hours.  He must take after Grandma.  Anyways, I had him finish the inside of the card for his Mommy.

I had a choice of two images and had a hard time deciding which to use.  I decided I would like the other with finger painting so I need to buy some paints.  Look for that one in the future!  The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Isn't he adorable.  It comes in a boy or girl image.  The digital papers are from Echo Park.  I colored the image with Copic.  Lucas colored the inside with Crayola Washable Markers.  There is no way this little guy is getting a hold of my Copics!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Chocolate, coffee & Cards  Yikes, Stripes
Jo's Scrap Shack  Anything Goes
Sister Act  Anything Goes
Doodle Pantry  Any Digi Goes
Imagination Crafts  Anything Goes
Bronte & Bella's  Challenge  K is for "Kid."
Challenges 4 Everybody  Anything Goes

Here is a picture of the little artist, himself.  He wasn't actually eating the markers.  He colored on his hands, licked them and wiped them on his face.  What a character!  At least they were non-toxic! We'll have to make this an annual event.  Happy Birthday, Katie!

  2. Oh, he is just adorable! That is such a great idea letting him color his own birthday card to mommy! I bet she will treasure this more than any gift she gets! I don't know which I loved more, your beautiful outside or his beautiful inside!

  3. OMGoodness!! I love the card - inside and out. Cute idea to let him do the inside of the card and it'll be something she treasures forever. His first artistic accomplishment! Just remember, Crayola's one day, and Copics the next!! He's such a cutie.
