Mother Goose

Our end of the month challenge at Hearts Quest Challenge Blog this month is Mother Goose.  Instead of choosing a Mother Goose rhyme I decided to do Mother Goose herself.  This is also in partnership with Double Trouble Challenge Blog.  The image is by Dulemba.  I think I got it at least ten years ago.  All her images are free.  Check them out!  I colored the image with Copic markers.  The paper is from Stampin' Up.  The gingham flowers have been in my stash forever.  I'm glad I finally found a reason to use them.

The Farm Quest challenge for the end of this month is Dandelions.  I chose this cute image by Connie Fong.  I colored her with Copic markers.  The papers were a gift from my Stampin' Up demonstrator.  The small resin flowers are also from Stampin' Up.

Dogwood Blooms

I am now doing some Guest Designing for Jan's Digi Stamps.  This is my first card for the mid-month inspiration for the April Challenge.  I used the image Dogwood Blooms Digital Stamp Set.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I used a sentiment that is provided with the set.

Please hop on over to Jan's and join the anything goes challenge.  There is still plenty of time to enter.

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

This is my first Design Team entry for Worldwide Crafters and Colorists.  The images are sponsored by Julia Spiri.  I chose Ahh, Ice Cream. I thought this image was cute, but I  really wasn't sure what to do with it.  As I colored the image with Copic markers all kids of ideas started coming to my head.  With what I thought would be a difficult card ended up being really fun to make.  I made the ice  cream cones with my Silhouette.  I really got a kick out of the top layer of the cones, although, very hard to cut they added so much to the look of the cones.  I decided to add the "We all scream for ice cream"  sentiment.  My husband added his snarky comment "well  that's real original."  A poet I am not!

A Country "Howdy"

The latest challenge for Farm Quest Challenge Blog is Bandanas.  I printed off a bandana from my Silhouette.  I cut it into pieces so it would look like it was draped.  I also printed off the background paper and sentiment from the Silhouette.  "Dale" is one of the newer images from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She is colored with pencils.

The Little Graduate

Heart's Quest latest challenge is "Graduation, or Celebration," and of course, includes a heart or hearts on your card.  I added a small heart to her graduation cap.  The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  The scroll was from the Silhouette Design Store.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I am enjoying mixing colored images with cut-outs from the Silhouette.  I am finally learning how to do the basics on the Silhouette!  It's about time.

Quilt for Logan

This is a quilt I made for my two year old grandson Logan.  I didn't remember to take a picture of the finished quilt.  I was in a hurry to get it mailed.  This is prior to quilting and the red binding.  My oldest two grandsons, Lucas and Ethan, are holding it up for me.  Please excuse the messy craft room.  The quilt is actually hiding most of the mess!  Next quilt up is for Ethan.  That will be a dinosaur quilt.  Then for my Dad, a window quilt with a deer scene.  I plan on visiting him in July 2024 so it needs to be done before then!  I have so many quilts planned I will need to live forever.

Happy Easter 2023

Easter is only one week away!  We are trying to decide if we will have our usual leg of lamb dinner.  I am personally not a fan of lamb, but have made it all forty six of our years of marriage because my husband grew up with it and loves it.  The price this year looks like it's going to be outrageous so we may have to pass on it.

This is my last post (for now) for Morgan's Art World Challenge Blog.   I was on her Design Team when it was known as Fitztown, also.  I need a change every now and then.  I chose the cute image Duck with Egg.  The image is colored with Copic markers.  I think the paper is from Stampin' Up.
