I designed this card for Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. This was the inspiration photo. I loved the turquoise color of the birds. I used the pink instead for the flowers. I have no idea what kind of bird this is supposed to be. I got a bunch of bird images from Etsy, but none of the birds were named.
I colored the image with Copic markers, Luminance pencils and Pastels, for the sky. I had all of the bird completed when I was coloring the brown branches. All of a sudden I had a tremendous bloop flow from the marker. I lightened it as best I could. Once I got most of the brown off, I realized that there were flowers and leaves in that spot. Coloring them completely covered the bloop. Thank goodness!
