A Couple More...

I am trying to whip through the Christmas Card Challenge at Split coast.  I am due to have surgery in a couple months and would like to have all my Christmas cards done by then. Although, healing time will give me lots of crafting time!   I am well on my way!  This image is one of my favorites, but I have only used it once before in February of 2011.  I wrote on my blog that I had been intimidated to color it.  Ha, that hasn't changed any!   It is from Digi Doodle Shop which is now closed.  I colored the image with Copics.  The pine dies are from Stampin' Up.

I am entering the card above in the following challenges

Fun Friday Challenge - Colors of Winter
Pattie's Creations - Snowy Days/Nights
STAMPlorations - Stamps and Animals

Here is my 2011 version.  I'm not sure which one I like better.  I think I like the bunnies better on the older one, but the tree on the newer version  Oh, well!

The card below was made using a stamp that I have had for many years. I can not read the manufacturer on the side of the stamp. I love the picture, but always dread coloring it.  I am not really pleased with it, but it took so long to color I thought I would use it anyways. One more card off the list!

By the way, if you see me post anymore cards before I post the completed quilt for my son-in-law, please feel free to comment and tell me to get my butt back to working on the quilt!  I had a custom label made for him that says January 2019.  Not very much time left!

I made this card for Splitcoast Stampers Christmas Challenge for February, Winter  Activities.  I am now done with January and February's cards.  I have some  completed for the other month's themes also.  I hope to get them done very early this year!  No rush to make and mail cards the week before Christmas.

This is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored it with Copic markers.  I don't recall where the ribbon and paper came from.  They have been in my stash forever.  The ribbon is down to about a four inch length.  There is not too much I can do with that, but I'll save it anyways.  You never know.

Hanging on a Star

This is an image from Sassy Cheryl's called "I'm a Little Star."  I colored the image with Copic markers.  The red striped paper is from Recollections, and the blue from Paper Pizazz.  The small message tabs are from Lily of the Valley.

I am entering this card in the DT call for The Holly and the Ivy Challenge.  I took about a three year break from card making due to health issues and after that homeschooling a grandchild.  I didn't realize how much I missed making cards until I made my first one recently.  I'm addicted once again.  I feel like I'm learning all over again, but it is a blast!

I am also entering this card in the following challenges :

Better Keep Believing in Santa!

This digital stamp is an old one that I got from Whimsie Doodles.  I have always loved it.  I made this for the May Christmas card challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  The May theme is to use plaids on your card.  I colored the cards with Copics.

I was wondering what my husband would think of this card.  His father passed away when he was fairly young.  His mother raised four sons on social security, which I am sure was not very easy.  His memory of Christmas was of piles of underwear and socks (unwrapped) under the tree for each boy.  They still did get one gift that they wanted.  Naturally, his Christmases are much better now.  I wasn't sure what his reaction would be, but he laughed and liked them.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My First Christmas Cards for 2019

I decided this year to make my cards ahead of time  Last Christmas I had a last minute rush to get cards done and finally resorted to sending some store bought ones.  This year I ant to be done well ahead of time!  I have honestly forgotten how to do so many things that used to be so easy.  Die cutting really sent me for a loop.  I'm working on it.  I had to  go though my stash also.  I didn't remember what I had.
