I decided to use a Mo's Digital Pencil image on a Christmas card. I absolutely loved the simplicity of this image. I then started thinking about what it would look like with a bow on the wreath. I want to enter one of them in the Splitcoast Christmas Card Challenge. I tried making an actual bow with ribbon. I could not tie it small enough. I finally gave up and drew a bow and cut it out. I glued it on so now I will have to color another if I decide to go bow-less. It only took a few minutes to color, though.
The March Christmas Card challenge is Entry Way or Front Door Decorated. I already had one March card done. This is my second out of four.
The very first design team I was on was Digi Doodle Shop either in 2911 or 2012. This was one of the images I collected from Design Team work. It came in rather handy for this challenge. The image is colored with Copic markers. I used Diamond Glaze for the windows. I did one small change to the design. There was no porch in the design, just blank space. I decided it needed a porch so I drew the boards in. The paper is from my stash. I didn't get the sentiment placement right, but once it was stck down there was no moving it. I tried something new, at least for me. I put packing tape over my cardstock before I cut out the letters. They held up much better after cutting.
The above card uses two images from Mo's Digital Pencil, the door and the singer. The singer is a PDF so I was easily able to put him in front of the door. I colored the card with Copic markers. The paper is from my stash, or in other words who knows where I got it!
This image is from Power Popy. I have colored it several times. It is colored with Copic markers, white pen and a gold gel pen. The paper is from Stampin' Up. My bingo is top left to bottom right.

This image was a freebie in December for belonging to Mo's Patreon group. He is adorable. I also got a Peeking Santa and Peeking Reindeer. With this card the door knob took longer than the rest of the card. I tried for about forty five minutes to cut it out with my Silhouette. The Silhouette was not having any of it...one of those nights! I decided to hand cut it, draw on the keyhole and use a hole punch to make the door knob.I'm not real happy with the way it turned out, but hey I probably could have spent the rest of my life trying to fix it.
| This was a Spellbinder's Christmas kit several years ago. This set had a opening in the engine for the window. It looked so bare. I found a Santa image in a search, reduced the size quite a bit, printed it ad cut out the head and an arm. He completes the train. I made a matching envelope since it is an odd size. |
This was a free pre-colored image I got from Graphics Fairy in 2013. See, I am actually capable of keeping records sometimes, just not often! The paper has been in my stash for a very long time. Probably from Hobby Lobby. I was and still am in need of men's birthday cards.
These two cards use a pre-colored images from Fred She Said. It is available in several colors. The paper used for the above card is from Stampin' Up. The paper on the lower card is from an old paper pad.
This card was a lot of fun to make. I joined the Splitcoast Christmas Card Challenge for 2026. The January challenge is trains. I had this image a very long time. It's by Just Inklined. It's the first time I have used it. It is colored with Copics and pastels. The paper is from Stampin' Up.
