Children of Cameroon

I wanted to color something different this month for Morgan's Art World Challenge Blog.  It is an Anything Goes Challenge.  This image is called Children of Cameroon.  It is available in her shop.  The link is on the right side of my blog.  I did some research to see what the clothing looks like in Cameroon.  The traditional garments consist mostly of black and orange with small amounts of other various colors.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Paper Funday Challenges - Autumn colors

Digi Choosday - Anything Goes

Passion for Markers - Anything Other that Christmas

Through the Craftroom Door - Anything Goes

A Place to Start - Anything Goes

  3. Wonderful coloring and image. I worked for a physician who was from Cameroon and he would go back every year, he had opened a childrens hospital in his village. Thanks for entering your sweet project at The Paper Funday Challenge, best of luck in the draw!

  4. Wow, that makes my arthritic hand hurt just looking at that. Incredible coloring job! Yes, I'd learned somewhere about Africans loving orange and black clothing colors in everyday wear. Whereas here it's a Halloween combo and orange not a very popular color. Some of the traditional African fashions are stunningly beautiful and the orange hues are almost hypnotic. XOX
