Lots of Cardmaking During the Blizzard!

This is the heaviest I have seen snow since moving to Arizona almost thirty years ago. Since we are in the midst of a blizzard, fourteen inches so far,  I decided to finish up some cards I had already colored the images for.  This is a very picture laden post.

These cards were made for the Splitcoast Stamper's 2019 Christmas Challenge.  The goal is to get to next December without having to make a load of cards in December.  I have already finished enough cards for my mailing list.  I committed to four cards a month.  I still have fourteen to make.  I am avoiding the July challenge of fun folds or shaped cards and October which is white cards.  Those eight will probably be the last I get done.

Decorative Wreath

This image is from Isabella's Sketchbook.  I use it very often.  It is colored with Copics  This time I did the grapes green instead of purple and the holly leaves are lighter than usual.  I really dislike the color choices this time and will definitely revert back to the other colors next time.

Copics:  C00, 0, 01, E35, G12, 20, 21, 24, R22, 24, 27, 29,    35, 37
Y19, 38, YG91, 93, 95, YR16, 18, 21, 23, 24

Wreath with Oranges

This image is from Flourishes.  Most of the time I have seen it colored, the balls are colored as if they are Christmas ornaments.  I assumed they must be fruit because they all have leaves attached so I decided to color them as oranges.  I colored it with Copic markers.

Copics:  C00, 0, 01, E31,34. G24, 94, R22, 24,   29, 35, 39
Y28, YG03, 13, 17, 67, 93

 Jingle All the Way

This is a stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The die cut in the center is from Spellbinder's.  The image is colored with Copic markers.

Copics:  G94, R24, 27, Y23, 26, 28, YG61, 63

 Pink Poinsettia

This image is from Power Poppy.   It is colored with Copic markers.  I used a beautiful silk ribbon for embellishment and a bell charm from Stampin' Up.

Copics:  E40, 41. 42 G20, 21, 24, R00, 01, 11, Y26, YG 91

Cardinal Chateau

This image is from C.C. Designs.  It is colored with Copic markers.  I used a Spellbinder's die to cut the edge of the card. I have had the dies for several years, but never used them.
The ribbon is from Stampin' Up.

 Tired Santa

This is an image from Whimsy stamps.  I colored it with Copic markers.  The paper is from  Stampin' Up.

Copics:  BG0000, 000, 01, C1, E00, 02, 11, R11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 27

Santa's Laundry

I believe this was a Whimsy stamp set.  It is a very large card.  It fits in a standard #10 envelope.  The images are colored with Copic markers.

Make a Joyful Noise

I made this card for the June Christmas Card Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  The theme is blue and silver or gold and red.  I used five digital stamps from Lili of the Valley.  They are available on Etsy.  The paper is from Me & My Big Ideas.  The tag is also from Lili of the Valley.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

Copics:  BG0000, 000, 01, C0, 1, 2, 3,
E31, 33, 35, 50, 51, 53, G24, R01, 11, 17, 20, 22

Attempt at Black Ice

I was talking with a crafter on Splitcoast and they were talking about black ice.  I thought it sounded interesting so I went to You Tube and watched a tutorial.  I made a few mistakes, like adding too much black on the top.  Overall, I'm satisfied.  The ice effect is very hard to photograph.  It doesn't look like it's over the entire surface, but it is.  the stamp is from Inkadinkadoo.

Santa's List

This is a stamp I just bought.  It is Nice or Naughty from C.C.Designs.  It is colored with Copics.  The papers are from Echo Park.  The tags are from LOTV.

Aqua Santa

I have had this Santa stamp for years.  I have never been able to get a clean image from it.  I recently purchased Stampin' Ups Stamparatus.  It works amazing!  I get such good stamp images now.  Not much coloring on this one, but it is colored with Copics.  I used a Spellbinder's die set to frame the image.  The paper is from my stash (in other words, I don't feel like getting up to check.)

Beary Fine Tree

This is an adorable digi by TeddyBo.  I made it into one of my very favorite Christmas cards about three years ago and then misplaced it somewhere.  It had special pull-outs and all kinds of special features.  This one is definitely not as elaborate.  The sentiment is from LOTV.  It is colored with Copics.  The papers are from my stash.

This card is an entry to the Splitcoast Stampers Christmas Challenge for August.  The theme is Xmas trees.  This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.  The papers are from Carta Bella Digital.  The photo actually looks a little blurry.  I am not in the mood to retake the picture, though.  Maybe, later!

My March Cards for Splitcoast Stampers Christmas Challenge

The March theme at Splicoast Stampers  Christmas Card Challenge is Bundle Up.  I chose these four little cuties from Mo's Digital Pencil.  They fit right in with the theme.  They all are colored with Copic  markers.

Deep Snow

I fell in love with this image when I first saw it.  It goes perfectly with the March theme!

 I've Got the Wreath

I chose some really unusual colors for this Christmas card.  I tend to like weird colors every now and then. I haven't used buttons in a while.  They tend to be a pain when mailing.  I have learned to put a piece of plain cardstock on the front of the card in the envelope

 Let's Chill

I used a Martha Stewart die on this card to cut the snowflake corners.  I took the cutout flakes glued them on and covered them with Stickles to add a little sparkle.

A Couple More...

I am trying to whip through the Christmas Card Challenge at Split coast.  I am due to have surgery in a couple months and would like to have all my Christmas cards done by then. Although, healing time will give me lots of crafting time!   I am well on my way!  This image is one of my favorites, but I have only used it once before in February of 2011.  I wrote on my blog that I had been intimidated to color it.  Ha, that hasn't changed any!   It is from Digi Doodle Shop which is now closed.  I colored the image with Copics.  The pine dies are from Stampin' Up.

I am entering the card above in the following challenges

Fun Friday Challenge - Colors of Winter
Pattie's Creations - Snowy Days/Nights
STAMPlorations - Stamps and Animals

Here is my 2011 version.  I'm not sure which one I like better.  I think I like the bunnies better on the older one, but the tree on the newer version  Oh, well!

The card below was made using a stamp that I have had for many years. I can not read the manufacturer on the side of the stamp. I love the picture, but always dread coloring it.  I am not really pleased with it, but it took so long to color I thought I would use it anyways. One more card off the list!

By the way, if you see me post anymore cards before I post the completed quilt for my son-in-law, please feel free to comment and tell me to get my butt back to working on the quilt!  I had a custom label made for him that says January 2019.  Not very much time left!

Fa, la, la, la, laaa...

This is an image by Mo's Digital Pencil.  I am using it for the Christmas Card Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  March's theme is It's Cold Outside.  He seems to be bundled up properly!  I colored the image with Copic markers.

The image is by Whimsie Doodles.  I colored it with Copics

All is Merry and Bright

I made this card for Splitcoast Stampers Christmas Challenge for February, Winter  Activities.  I am now done with January and February's cards.  I have some  completed for the other month's themes also.  I hope to get them done very early this year!  No rush to make and mail cards the week before Christmas.

This is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored it with Copic markers.  I don't recall where the ribbon and paper came from.  They have been in my stash forever.  The ribbon is down to about a four inch length.  There is not too much I can do with that, but I'll save it anyways.  You never know.

Hanging on a Star

This is an image from Sassy Cheryl's called "I'm a Little Star."  I colored the image with Copic markers.  The red striped paper is from Recollections, and the blue from Paper Pizazz.  The small message tabs are from Lily of the Valley.

I am entering this card in the DT call for The Holly and the Ivy Challenge.  I took about a three year break from card making due to health issues and after that homeschooling a grandchild.  I didn't realize how much I missed making cards until I made my first one recently.  I'm addicted once again.  I feel like I'm learning all over again, but it is a blast!
