Freedom is not Free
This was done for Isabella's Challenge #9, "Patriotic Colors" and Stamp Simply #141 Flying High and Proud Color Challenge. I felt very strongly about making it a tribute to our fallen soldiers. Technically, this was another difficult one for me. Pencils are very difficut to blend in large areas. Maybe, I should have tried water colors. Hopefully, Santa will bring me some really good markers! Thanks to Isabella's Challenge I won the images for this one.

This birthday card is for my son's girlfriend, Karena. She just happens to be an artist. She painted us a beautiful oil pain...
Firstly, congratulations on winning the Isabella Challenge. Your card is very appropriate for the occasion. Thanks for taking part again. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLike you, I sometimes find pencils hard to blend in large areas but you have made a beautiful job of this. I also feel that our cards are handmade and if I have a flaw or two, so what. Getting one of our cards is more special than getting a commercially printed, perfect looking card that many other people are also getting. Your sentiment says it all and reminds us what Memorial Day is supposed to mean. Thanks for joining us again at Isabella's - we love having you.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
