This card gave me a heck of a time tonight. If you could actually see the card itself it looks like it went through the war. I had to pull it apart so many times. Nothing was ever straight no matter how many times I put it together. I guess I didn't cut straight. The craft oval around the sentiment I had to cut by hand. Another disaster. I had to redo it so many times there is almost no edge left. Well anyway, it still made it here so it was not a total loss. The image is from Sugar Nellie, the Simply Adorable Collection. I am in love with this collection. I just love the look on this little guy's face. So precious and innocent. I colored him with copics. I'm finally learning to do the hair without looking at the color guide constantly. He is sponged with ColorBox Cat's Eye Fluid Chalk. Although, it doesn't really show in the photo. The paper is from Stampin' Up. I usually list my copics, but my work area is such as mess I can't figure out which ones I used. Just one of those days!

I sympathise entirely, many a time I have made a card and showed to my Husband and his first comment is "it's not straight"..... I have just given up trying.
ReplyDeleteThe card is great and it looks straight to me :)
just lovely. elegant and boyish at the same time. as for the straight thing... when in doubt, angle it on purpose! i'm usually really happy with the result when i alter the intended layout. :) thanks so much for sharing your beautiful creation with the Charisma Galz! xo

ReplyDeleteDiane, the beauty of making our own cards is that we do have cards that just don't work, but then some are amazing! Just like this one, it's absolutely adorable!
