Morning Dew Fairy

I can't find it in their store any longer so I can't provide a link to it. The papers are from My Mind's Eye, the Miss Caroline Collection. It was colored with copics and the wings were covered with Dazzling Diamonds from Stampin' Up.

The image I used for this week's challenge at Inspiration Destination is quite out of the ordinary for me. One of our new sponsor's is Kenny K. I decided to go for one of his more risque images, Carmen Electrafying, just to do something totally different. I think I completely shocked my husband when he saw it. I asked him what he thought and he didn't really answer. I assumed he didn't like it. Actually, he asked me if I could make him a life-size one. I don't think so! It was fun to make this card, though. This is the first time I tried blue highlights for the hair. I ended up covering a bit too much of it up when I went back to touch up the black. Oh well, next time.

The digital papers are from Po and Po Digital on Etsy. I colored the image with Copics. The race flags were cut with the Silhouette. I am using the Silhouette more and more to decorate cards.

Carousel Zebra

This week at Inspiration Destination we have three sponsors. I decided on Carousel Zebra Set by Doodle Pantry. They had quite a good selection of carousel images. The set comes with matching papers in quite a few solids and prints along with many variations of the zebra and sentiments, too. I used one of the pre-colored images in the set, but I went over the stripes with a Copic marker. My printer doesn't print a deep enough black. The images always appear a bit faded so I like to darken them. I added a banner cut with the Silhouette.

For my one and only Valentine's card this year I used this adorable image from Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet. The digital store is temporarily closed. I colored it with Copic markers. The digital paper is from Carta Bella.The words and the doily were cut on the Silhouette.

January Christmas Card Stash

This is my favorite Santa image. It's by Sherri Baldy. I colored him with Copics.

My goal this year is to make one card a week to avoid the Christmas rush.

Also, to make somewhat flatter cards that are easier to mail.

Christmas Carousel Horse

I must apologize that I haven't been visiting blogs lately. I have been in a lot of pain with arthritis since the weather has gotten colder. I wasn't allowed to take anything for pain for a while because of my kidneys. They are apparently normal again and the doctor gave the okay to take an anti-inflammatory. Thanks goodness.

Anyways, this past Christmas I sent quite a few purchased cards which I prefer not to do. This year I'm going to try to finish one per week so I'll have plenty when I need them.
