January Birthday Cards

Well, I finally got a few cards done.  These are the last of my January birthday cards.  I actually made all the cards I needed for January, except for Tom's birthday card.  His birthday is tomorrow and there's no way I can get another done by then.  I guess I'll buy one tomorrow on the way home.  My goal  for this year is to send a birthday card to all family members.  So far so good.

The layout for the first card came from a Stampin' Up demonstrator's website.  I pretty much followed her layout exactly.  My creativity seemed to  have disappeared. My trash can is full of cards I have finished, but don't like.   I guess it will take a while to get back into the swing of things.  Here is a link to her card.

The next card uses an image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I believe the paper is from Stampin' Up.

I got a Silhouette for Christmas  and used it on each of these cards.  I'm enjoying it so much more than the Cricut.  I don't have a lot of time to spend learning it right now.  For some reason I can't print from it.  One of these days I'll look at the instructions and see if I can figure out why.  I would like to be able to print and cut.

Hopefully, tonight I will get some time to visit blogs.  I've been sick with Bronchitis.  I'm doing quite a bit better now, though.

  1. I have to say I love all 3 of these! the first one just pops out at you with that gorgeous paper to compliment the flowers. The little chef carrying all the cakes is adorable, and I would never have thought balloons would make such a darling card, but they certainly do! For someone who says her creativity is gone, you have certainly made some terrific cards! I hope you get to feeling better fast! Take care of yourself!!
