A Poinsettia of a Different Color.

I have had this Power Poppy image of a poinsettia for a very long time.  I have always colored it red.  I went to Power Poppy today and sawa sample done in light beige and pinks for the buds.  I said why not let's go for something completely odd.  I decided to make it gold.  I would assume there are really no gold poinsettia.  But hey, artistic license!  I colored the image with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils, only because I can no longer make very fine lines with my markers.  My vision is going and I may have to have eye surgery shortly in the future.  I planned on the background paper an olive green with gold leaves on it.  When I happened across this paper in the drawer I knew I found the perfect paper.

Easter Cards 2026

I am kind of burned out so I decided to make all my Easter cards for the grandkids and my Dad using digital images.  It was much, much easier than coloring lots of images and the kids don't care, anyways.  I just realized I put them in the envelopes without  the stamp "Grandma MAde This Just For You."  Fortunately.  I didn't seal the envelopes yet.  These images were purchased on Etsy last year.  The papers are from my stash.

Sweet Little Girl

I have had this image for many years.  The image is by Sugar Nellie.  I have many of their images which I should use more.  The image is colored with Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils and pastels.  I have been enjoying that combination of mediums a lot lately.  The die is an old one from Spellbinder's and the paper is from Stampin' Up.  I saw this color hair done by someone about a year and a half ago and really loved the way it looked.  fortunately, she listed the color markers she used for the hair.  I wrote down the info and posted it on my board to use when I wanted to try it.  Well, that day finally came but, I had moved the note a couple weeks ago.  I almost threw out the note, but had decided to keep it.  It took a while, but I found it again.  It was colors that I would not have thought of coloring blonde hair with, E50, 51, 53, and E55.

Apples on the Tree

My husband pointed out a major error with this picture. I didn't see it at all. The tree doesn't have flowers and apples at the same time. He's right, but I already colored it so I'm using it. Maybe, nobody else will notice. He is such a perfectionist. The image is by Power Poppy. It is colored with Copics, Prismacolor pencils and pastels. The paper is from Stampin' Up. I had fun coloring it even with the imperfection.

I used to be on the Creative Team for Morgan's ArtWorld. I bought this image years ago, but she no longer has it in her store. I colored it a few years ago, but never quite finished it. I found it while I was clearing out under my desk. I decided it was about time!

Switching Art Work Again!

This is an image by Coloriage Wild.  They produce coloring books with many, many unusual images to color of children.  I have six of their coloring books.  I have done many pieces, but it's been quite a while since I finished one.  The picture below shows my VERYmessy craft desk while I'm working.  I used Polychomos, Luminance and Prismacolor pencils to color this image.  I used baby oil as a blending medium.  I usually use either unscented mineral spirits or baby oil.  It was a fun little switch in coloring mediums.  I may scan it and downsize so I can put it on a card.
