Santa Needs a Nap

This is an image by Mo''s digital Pencil, one of my favorite artists. I colored the image with Copic markers. The paper is from Stampin' Up.

This is an image by Coloriage Wild. They produce coloring books with many, many unusual images to color of children. I have six of their coloring books. I have done many pieces, but it's been quite a while since I finished one. The picture below shows my VERYmessy craft desk while I'm working. I used Polychomos, Luminance and Prismacolor pencils to color this image. I used baby oil as a blending medium. I usually use either unscented mineral spirits or baby oil. It was a fun little switch in coloring mediums. I may scan it and downsize so I can put it on a card.

More Power Poppy Images

I am working my way through the twenty or so Power Poppy images I printed off. This germanium image is one of my favorites. It is colored with Copic markers. I'm not sure where the paper is from.

This is one of their many rose images. It is also colored with Copic markers.

Power Poppy Images

I decided to get away from Christmas images for a while. That probably won't last long1 Anyways, I decided to print off a bunch of Power Poppy images to color and make birthday cards. Who doesn't need extra birthday cards sometime. All images were colored with Copic markers, pastels on the daffodils and pencil on the hollyhocks.

Angel Ornament

This is two images from Power Poppy, the tree branch and an angel ornament. I had a hard time with this one. Everything was the wrong size to put on a normal card. I decided to fussy cut the branch so I could overlap the angel slightly so they would both fit together. When I got done fussy cutting and glued the branch to the designer paper there was so much white interiors and border showing that I hated the way it looked. My husband came by and asked what the problem was. I told him I hated the way the card looks with all the white spaces amongst the branches. He just matter of factly said just pick a marker and color it in. I didn't even think of doing that. The first marker I picked matched the paper perfectly. What a great idea he had Thr paper is from Stampin' Up. It is colored with Copic markers

Two Cards I Forgot to Post

I am off my craft desk for a few days. This is killing me already. We had to rearrange the furniture in my craft room to get an appliance delivery through the room on Friday. I had to take my husband to the emergency room on Friday and missed the delivery. They rescheduled the delivery for this week so I don't want to rearrange the furniture until after it's here. We thought my husband might have had a blood clot after his surgery a week ago. We went to the emergency room because his left hand was extremely swollen. Surgery was on his left side. they put new wires in his heart and a new pacemaker in. When we first got to the ER they did every test imaginable. They also thought he had a blood clot. They even thought they may have seen a spot on his lungs that looked like maybe piece of a clot broke off. Turns out after additional testing. The is no blood clot, thank goodness. His hand is still swollen, just not as much. It appears to be cause by the sling he has to wear. The adventures never end when you get older!

I get such a kick out of this card every year. It may be in poor taste, but I love it. The image is from Whimsy and it's colored with Copics.

This is another Whimsy image that I found while I was looking for the above image. I thought I might as well complete her also. She is also colored with Copics. The paper is from Stampin' Up.

Birthday Tulips

This was a fun and surprisingly fast image to color. It's from Power Poppy. Yesterday I printed off about twenty of their images. I thought I'd try to get away from Christmas cards for a couple weeks. I colored this image with Copic markers.

Drummer Boy 2026

I have done this image before, but for some reason, I really enjoyed doing it this time.I got this image back in 2009, I believe. I colored the image with Copic markers and the paper is from Stampin' Up. I actually have enough cards now for doing my mailing list four times over. I think I may consider doing a craft sale in town this year to try to sell some. I am switching to birthday cards for a while.

Antique Santa

I made this card for the June Christmas Card challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge for June is "Enormous." This image fills up pretty much of the card. So I'm classifying it as enormous. The image is from Mo's digital Pencil. I colored it with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.

Christmas Stash (G)

I'm still working on my Christmas cards for Splitcoaststampers Christmas Card Challenge. I am very far ahead at this point. Tom had surgery this week and it's been somewhat stressful. He's not allowed to drive, lift, or do most things. Wires from his pacemaker had broken recently he found out at his last checkup so they said it needed to be replaced immediately and new wires put in. It's the new wires that were the hastle. He's in a sling for two weeks while the area where the wires were inserted into the heart heals. So I'm basically responsible for doing pretty much everything. Fun, fun. If I didn't have a collapsed spine it wouldn't be so bad. Also , my vision is getting bad and I gave up driving a few months ago. Well, I'm back driving. As long as I drive in daylight I seem to be okay. On the positive side, card making relieves my stress. Therefor, I am in major card making mode.

This card is for the July CCC, Enjoyment. Things that we enjoyed about the holidays. Visiting Santa is on the list. This image is by Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored it with copic markers and pastels.The paper is from my stash.

I was told that this is me with my grandfather, who had a job playing Santa. I proudly announced that Santa was my grandpa to everyone waiting on the line!

This image is also from Mo's Digital Pencil. I didn't like how empty the corners looked on this image so I cut them off. I don't know if that was a good decision or not. Once they were cut off I had to figure out how to fill out the areas. I used a few different washi tapes to make up the difference.

Another fun part of Christmas has always been decorating. This image is by Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored it with Copic markers. The paper is from my stash.

This is my favorite card of the bunch. I just love this Power Poppy image. I colored it with Copics. Spreading holiday cheer also brings enjoyment.

This is another image from Power Poppy. I saw it done in bright colors and decided to go for it. This one is definitely on the bright side. It is colored with Copic markers. Relation to enjoyment...presents!

This is another addition to my male birthday cards. I finally have enough made for the year. There are 12 males on my birthday card list (not including the five grandsons.) I now have enough for them all. This image is from Power Poppy and is colored with Copic markers. The paper is from Stampin' Up, I believe.

Baby Forest Critters

I have always loved this image. I have a whole set of baby animals done by the same artist, Angels Landing. They even come with a coloring diagram to follow to make the coloring easier. Unfortunately, with all the 300 or so Copic markers I have, I was still missing five or six that the diagram recommended. I just substituted something close. The paper is from Stampin' Up.
