For this card I used this cute image from our sponsor this week, Digi Darla. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps and the digital paper was a freebie I found online. Thank you to whomever provided it. I forgot to write down the name. I had alot of trouble photographing this, which is unusual. The colors are way off and I don't know why. I used the same setting and lighting as every other time. I redid the pics and they were still off-color. I give up. This is a quickie post today. I realized I forgot to make my post and it's the middle of the night !
This is my DT card for Crafty Catz Challenge #144 - Pink. Lots of pink here! Our sponsor this week is Crimson Cloud.
I used a Saturated Canary image that was a freebie for a short time. She is really lovely. She is now available here. I used a new doily die from Cheery Lynn Designs. The card top is edged with a Martha Stewart punch. I used a digital paper from Bearly Mine. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I tried to make my own flowers for this one. That ended up being a disaster. I need to take a day and take my time to learn to use my new flower dies. Oh, and the ribbon is silk from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. It looks beautiful in person. The photograph make the ribbon look too dark. Copics: B000, B01, C00, C1, E000, E00, E11, E07. R20, R21, R22, YR20, YR24
This is one card I actually finished the inside of. I need to get busy and start finishing some others.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
This week's challenge at Totally Papercrafts is to make a monochromatic card. I did cheat a little on this one. There is a small touch of red and the black for the streetlamp. I was getting really tired of all the brown. The image is available at the Digi Doodle Shop. I believe it's called "Feed the Birds." It so reminds me of Mary Poppins. I had the song "Tuppence a Bag." in my head the entire time. As a matter of fact, I just couldn't resist going to You Tube and watching a video of the song.
I've been married to my best friend for 40 years and we raised three pretty great kids. It's been a wonderful life so far and now that our children are grown it's time to have fun. My husband just got into making guitars and I got into making cards. I started with stamping, but very quickly fell in love with coloring digital images. I'm learning a little more every day. My passion is coloring animals. I can't get enough of them. I also enjoy sewing, crewel and counted cross stitch, although my eyesight makes that a little difficult now. I just retired and need to add quilting to my activities. The fun never ends! If you would like to email me it's: email@example.com
This is Tom's first guitar. It's made out of mahagony. His second guitar kit just arrived. It's going to be a beauty. It will be made out of Koa and will have abalone inlays on the fret board and gold hardware. I can't wait to see it completed.
This is Tom's second guitar project. It's made from Koa and has abalone inlays and gold hardware. He let me pick how this one would look. The inlays are absolutely beautiful!
This is the third guitar that Tom made. You can't tell in the photo, but this has a much glossier finish on it. It took weeks and weeks to get the finish right. I believe this one is mahagony also.
